Chandler is one of the cities where both Salt River Project (SRP) and Arizona Public Service (APS) serve customers; the City of Chandler’s own utility schedules name both. Your electric bill tells you which one you have, and that decides which rebate programs you can use.
SRP rebates currently listed
As of November 2026, SRP’s residential rebate page lists the following. Programs change, so confirm the details with SRP before you buy.
| Upgrade | Rebate listed by SRP |
|---|---|
| Duct testing and repair | Up to $400 |
| Professionally installed shade screens or window film | $1.00 per square foot |
| ENERGY STAR replacement windows | $3.00 per square foot |
| ENERGY STAR heat pump water heater | $500 |
| Level 2 EV charger from SRP Marketplace | $250 instant |
AC and heat pump rebates
SRP’s main rebate page does not currently show a cooling-equipment rebate, and third-party sites give conflicting figures. Before replacing an AC or heat pump, check SRP’s website or call SRP directly, and ask your contractor to confirm which equipment and paperwork qualify. APS customers should check APS’s own programs the same way.
Upgrades that pair well in Chandler
- Duct repair before a new system. New equipment on leaky ducts wastes part of its capacity heating attic air.
- Shade screens on west windows. Cuts afternoon heat gain when Chandler’s July highs average 106°F.
- Heat pump water heater in the garage. A hot garage gives it plenty of heat to work with.
Paperwork tips
- Keep your invoice with model numbers.
- Note application deadlines; many programs require filing within months of installation.
- Photograph equipment labels before installation is closed up.
